TRAX
TRAX is a two-player abstract strategy game on a 13×13 board. No luck after setup — just runs, resources, and nerve.
The game: Every turn you build one straight run of pegs out from your position. Every peg costs points, and your payoff is the value of the tile you stop on — bank it for yourself, or drain it from your opponent. Takers punch through enemy lines, Jumpers leap over them, and you only get 5 of each for the whole game. First to hold 3 X tiles wins — but your opponent gets one last reply to take one back or force a draw.
Play it your way:
- Online — one player creates a game and sends a 6-letter code, the other joins. No accounts, no setup.
- Local — two players, one screen.
- Solo — three AI levels. All three play a full-strength engine with no artificial mistakes; they differ only in how deeply they think. Master takes its time — and earns it.
New to TRAX? The built-in interactive tutorial walks you through your first runs, Takers, Jumpers, and your first X capture in about two minutes. A full rule book is in the menu.
Free, runs in your browser, works on phones.
